Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week program that introduces practical mindfulness practices to help you meet with stress + challenge with a new perspective and new tools. Ongoing research consistently demonstrates MBSR's positive impact on our overall well-being, including reduced levels of depression, stress, chronic, pain, anxiety, and distress. Research is also showing that a regular mindfulness practice can enhance your ability to experience joy and contentment, improve and sharpen your attention + concentration, performance, improve your sleep, and digestion, and overall quality of life + our sense of wellbeing.

What Others Are Saying About MBSR

“Taking this course came at the perfect time for me. I am a Type A person, and have found that these practices have really helped me learn how to respond versus react. I am noticing that I am sleeping better, because I have tools when my mind is really going. I can highly recommend this course, Angie is a great teacher, and the practices are effective. Thank you!”

Matt S., Attorney

“I already have recommended this to others & will continue to. It is a realistic program that can fit into many people's lives. I miss this course already but truly feel it has stuck with me. Now I am regularly waking up with a clear perspective/sense of tranquility & calmness. I am also paying attention more & trying to fully focus on the present activity. I appreciated content that was able to be downloaded (like the lying down yoga). It was nice having everything in one place. The small breakout sessions created a comfortable space to share and get to know participants. I will very likely take this course with Angie again, she is a really great teacher and points you in the right direction to make your own discoveries, I love it!”

Alexa V., Health Coach | Nutritionist | Recreation Therapist BCHC, CHN, CTRS, CDP

“This course has been a model of "good practices" in on-line teaching. I was at first apprehensive about a 2.5 hour evening class (major potential for falling asleep!), but the variation in activities, switching between personal practice, micro-teaching, small group and large group sharing, always keep me engaged.”

Kristie F., College Professor

“Although it is a group class, each person has a unique experience of mindfulness and should be able to apply it in a positive way to their current life situation. After taking the course, I have an overall improved sense of emotional balance. ”

Karen R., Physical Therapist

“This course was so beneficial that I am taking it again. MBSR has facilitated opening my mind up more to the possibility of more self-observation through consistency and nonjudgment. Also, I learned the power of the practice when being in relationship with others. It has helped slow my reactivity time way down.”

Lexie M., Entrepreneur

“I signed up for this class for many reasons. Life in general is stressful & chaotic right now I don't really know what's next for me, So I really wanted some new coping strategies for stress.

I spent some time letting the negative into my life. I could feel it's heaviness physically weighing me down. I was beginning to feel that if I didn't acknowledge it & try to deal with it, I would become bitter. MBSR is a life hack, a gift to be given to yourself & if you're truly lucky to others as well. Angie is a wonderful instructor & always available to help guide. I love the way Angie's eye crescent when she is excited to share and her smile too. ”

Jennie M., Writer

“As you have stated many times I'm learning just as much from my peers in the class as from the curriculum; I love that aspect. I can't think of any other situation where I communicate at a deep level with almost strangers, and they do the same. I wonder what the world would be like if we all could start relationships that way.”

Rosie M., Reflexologist

“One thing I definitely gained is increased patience. With interpersonal interactions, I find myself really stopping to think about my reaction and what prompted the emotion. I am giving people more of the benefit of the doubt. The wedge of awareness has had a huge impact on my ability to cope with stressors. ”

Angie S., NP-C, MSN; Nurse Practitioner

“I've developed a terrible habit of ruminating on negative things and scenarios that didn't even happen, I still do this from time to time however this class helped me exercise my mind to pull myself out of these thoughts quicker or even shake them off and be present. ”

Andrea S., Herbalist
